15 Bible verses about love

Quick Explanation for Biblical Love

In the Bible, there are different words that are interpreted as love.  For example, there is Agape, which represents the type of love that God has for us; a love that never fails.  Jesus loved us so much he was willing to die for us.  Agape represents that kind of love.  Another word for love is Phileo.  This love represents a friendship type of love.  People that have a phileo relationship, may be good friends or acquaintances, but maybe not enough to give their life for the other.   To get better definitions of each of these words, take a look at the Blue Letter Bible resources
